Nonconvulsive status epilepticus after temporal lobectomy.

Acute brain injury can cause nonconvulsive status epilepticus (NCSE). However, this condition has not been reported immediately after brain surgery. We describe a patient who had NCSE in the recovery room after an otherwise successful right temporal lobectomy and emphasize the usefulness of electroencephalography in this situation.
